Michael C. Hall and Lena Hall Cover Radiohead Perfectly

If you’ve ever wanted to see Michael C. Hall (Dexter) cast in a less sociopathic light, this is your shot.

Michael C. Hall and Lena Hall, who appear together in Broadway’s Hedwig and the Angry Inch, played a Radiohead tribute show in New York this past Saturday (March 19). Prior to the performance at Café Carlyle, Playbill posted two clips from the band’s rehearsals: one is “Ripcord” (from 1993’s Pablo Honey) and the other is a mashup of “High and Dry” (from 1995’s The Bends) and “Thinking About You” (also from Pablo Honey). The Dexter Hall also recently starred in David Bowie’s musical Lazarus.

The Halls give the tracks the energy they deserve, so while we all eagerly await new Radiohead, let’s take a moment to remember the songs that first put them on our radar. And while we’re on the topic, let’s speculate when that new Radiohead might arrive. It was revealed just this morning via Consequence of Sound that Radiohead has formed a company called DawnnChoruss Ltd., joining the Dawn Chorus LLP that the band founded in January. The creation is notable because Radiohead formed similar companies before releasing both King of Limbs and In Rainbows–though the band claims the record isn’t finished.

Could the next LP be on the horizon? Check out the Halls’ covers and let us know what you think in the comments.
