Paris is really excited about the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. A temporary pop-up restaurant has surfaced in the city of lights, and it is entirely Metal Gear Solid V-themed. Yes, the Metal Gear Cafe, as created by Chez Gladines, is now a real thing, in Paris, for a limited time. Get your plane tickets now.
The restaurant does exactly what you would expect from a themed eatery. With the Diamond Dogs motif to a jungle camp design to customized liquor bottles, it is a decoration that would make The Boss proud of his legacy. The menu is in French, but a little Google Translate magic has revealed the secrets of these delicious treats as named for the soon-to-release Konami title.
The Big Boss Burger is a steak burger with turkey bacon and cantal cheese, while the Diamond Dog is a poultry sausage with onions and cheese sauce. The most interesting concept, though, are the dual deserts of Mother Base with a simple Cherry Creme Brule as well as an interesting looking dish that roughly translates to “Floating island of raspberry and red fruit coulis.” Coulis apparently is a fruit sauce.
Based on the Metal Gear Solid store that has opened it’s doors in Paris, France’s most famous city is really into the Kojima franchise. If any readers are set up in Paris and have had a chance to get to this restaurant, let us know how it is. Otherwise check out the gallery below and let us know what you would order if you could.
