âAre you telling me that you built a time machine out of a Mercedes-Benz F 015?!â That doesnât quite roll off the tongue, does it?
On October 21, the official Back to the Future Day will be celebrated around the world. While the first Back to the Future came out on July 3, 1985, October 21, 2015 was the day that Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) and Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) arrived in the future during Back to the Future 2. And letâs just say that the future hasnât quite turned out the way we expected…or the way we hoped for.
But the future is always right in front of us, and who knows whatâs coming next? Mercedes-Benz is getting in on the Back to the Future Day fun with three television ads for the Mercedes-Benz F 015, a new concept car that the company is touting as a possible future vehicle for autonomous driving. Essentially, itâs a car that drives itself…in theory.
The first spot for the F 015 is posted above, but the second spot below teases the audience with the stylish hoverboard that weâve always wanted.
And finally, the third Mercedes-Benz Back to the Future themed commercial unveils something that would actually be useful: an automated dog walker!
Although, given the choice between the automatic dog walker or the hoverboard, I’d still take the hoverboard.
Back to the Future fans, what did you think about the Mercedes-Benz concept car? And does the Flux capacitor come standard with all models, or does the dealer have to place a special order? Let us know in the comment section below!
