They’re not teenagers. They’re not mutants. They’re not ninjas. There’s a chance they might be turtles. One thing is for certain, though: Megan Fox and Will Arnett are the stars of Jonathan Liebesman’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot. As the Turtles celebrate their thirtieth (!) anniversary, a new generation of moviegoers will get to experience the heroes in a half shell as they slide into theaters this Friday. Recently, I sat down with Fox (“April O’Neil”) and Arnett (“Vernon Fenwick”) to chat about the franchise’s legacy, what it meant to them, and what this new entry offers for fans both new and old. Oh, and if you watch the video backwards while listening to Master Splinter’s “Skipping Stones” from 1990’s “Coming Out of Their Shells” tour, you’ll learn the true secret of the ooze.
