Meet the Official GIRL MEETS WORLD Theme Song

We’re just over a month away from the premiere of Girl Meets World. Sometimes I have to pinch myself because we live in a world where Cory and Topanga Matthews are married with children. I wish I could travel back in time and tell my teenage self. Anyway, a new series means a new theme song, and Disney’s recently shared the peppy intro. Sung by Girl Meets World stars Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter, “Take On the World” is upbeat and fun.

From the promotional clips we’ve seen, the cheerful theme song matches the tone of the series. Riley Matthews (Blanchard) and her best friend Maya (Carpenter) are starting 7th grade, and as we all remember, that comes with a plethora of challenges and stress. Junior high means dealing with more homework, drama, and change.

As long as Girl Meets World approaches all the hairy subjects with the same class and humor as Boy Meets World, I think we’re in good shape. I mean, they already get bonus points for featuring members of the previous cast such as Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel.

You can catch the first episode of Girl Meets World on Friday, June 27, on the Disney Channel. If you can’t wait that long, get verified for Watch Disney Channel by logging in with your cable provider account and view the premiere as early as tomorrow, May 21.

What do you think about the theme song? Let us know how you feel in the comments!

Thanks for the link to the pilot… I really enjoyed it!  It captured the spirit, the fun, and the heart of the original series very well!  I definitely can’t wait for more.
