The power of comedy duo Tina Fey and Amy Poehler can’t be denied. From hosting The Golden Globes together to roasting Don Rickles at his own tribute, they’re more than a force to be reckoned with. They’re a force that we all just can’t enough of, which makes it surprising there isn’t an entire film canon where Fey and Poehler share top billing. Still, their upcoming buddy comedy The Nest already has the duo’s fans very excited. Even Maya Rudolph, fresh off from her comedy variety special The Maya Rudolph Show, has signed on to party it up with her old SNL castmates.
Maya Rudolph had a wildly successful run on Saturday Night Live, for the most part with pals Poehler and Fey. SNL alum Paula Pell also wrote the screenplay for The Nest, so we can basically expect a major SNL reunion vibe here. The Nest stars Fey and Poehler as sisters that go back to their parents’ house to clean out their childhood rooms who then decide to throw one last party — hopefully one for the ages. Rudolph is set to play one of their childhood friends that will no doubt be an accomplice to whatever shenanigans Fey and Poehler have planned for this cinematic shindig.
Before you too excited for Rudolph re-teaming with Fey and Poehler, remember that The Nest is set for December 2015. Pace your excitement accordingly!

I imagine Rachel Dratch will be very bitter if she’s not invited to the cast…
