Matthew Perry Takes the FRIENDS Apartment Quiz with Graham Norton

Right now, how much money would you be willing to wager on the most famous question in fake trivia history? C’mon, you’ve seen every episode of Friends roughly 50 times each, and you’ve seen the episode where Ross put together the quiz about the group to determine who would get the girl’s apartment. You must know, after all of these years, the answer to the question: “What is Chandler Bing’s job?”

No, no no no, it is not a transponster!

“That’s not even a word!”

Well, don’t worry, Matthew Perry himself still isn’t quite sure about that one either. Though the former Friends star did do very well with the other Chandler question from the quiz when asked by Graham Norton.

“According to Chandler, what phenomenon scares the bejeesus out of him?”

“What is the name of Chandler’s father’s all male burlesque?”

“Every week the TV Guide comes to Chandler and Joey’s apartment, what name appears on the address label?”

If you know the answer to those question without watching the video you a) are a giant, giant Friends fan and b) need to stop watching so many repeats. I’m actually amazed Matthew Perry knew the answer to all of them.

As for the famous question about Chandler’s job, well one studio audience member came very close, but the exact and elusive answer is “statistical analysis and data reconfiguration.”

Make sure you check out the video, because Perry also shared the story about how he almost didn’t audition for the job because of a different show he was working on, one about baggage handlers in the year 2197. That could have been huge!

After all these years that quiz is still really funny.

How many of those questions did you know the answer to? Tell us below.
