It’s finally happened–the least search engine-friendly comic book series ever is coming to television. Veteran comics creators (and husband-and-wife duo) Matt Fraction and Kelly Sue DeConnick, have penned a two-year overall deal with Universal TV to adapt comic books and original IP for television. Their first project just so happens to be our favorite comic of 2014, Sex Criminals.
For those of you not in the know, Sex Criminals is an Image Comics series by Matt Fraction and Chip Zdarsky that follows a librarian named Suzie and an actor named Jon who sleep together after meeting at a party. Only unlike most one-night stands, this one ends with the pair realizing that when they orgasm, they can freeze time. Naturally, the couple then embarks on a life of crime, robbing banks in order to secure funds to save Suzie’s ailing library. If it sounds weird, it is, but it’s also frequently hilarious, poignant, and heartfelt. And that’s exactly what makes it such an exciting prospect for TV adaptation.

Nitpick: Both of them had the time stopping power separately and started getting in trouble when they got together and felt inspired to actually do something with the power besides feeling lonely.
that is the stupidest idea for a comic book ive ever heard about. the reason they are called indie is because you can only go so far and get a limited fan base. this is really scrapping the bottom of the barrel for show ideas.
