While there’s a lot of nerdy goodness to be had, there’s really only one thing on everyone’s minds this week – even ours – the Super Bowl. The most watched event of the year is upon us this weekend, but it hasn’t been without its fair share of controversy. Lately, there’s been a lot of talk about whether or not the New England Patriots cheated their way to the big game in what’s now been dubbed “Deflate-Gate.” However, it seems some new information has come to light on the matter, and Jimmy Kimmel of all people has the exclusive. We can’t explain it, but when it comes to these almost intentionally YouTube formatted late night skits, no one seems to do it better than Kimmel. From trolling the entire world into believing a girl set her pants on fire, to showing Patrick Stewart play the worst airline passenger ever to getting a bunch of New England-native actors to put on a thick accent and claim responsibility for Deflate-Gate, Kimmel is simply unmatched in late night viral videos.

When you add this to the most adorable war ever currently taking place between Chris Evans and Guardians of the Galaxy’s own Chris Pratt over Sunday’s outcome, we must say that Super Bowl XLIX is slowly becoming one heck of a nerd event all its own. Now, if only we could find a way to get Bradley Cooper to call the game as Rocket, we’d be set.
