MASTER OF ORION Voice Cast Includes Mark Hamill, Michael Dorn, and More

For those who may be unaware, the reboot of one of the best 4X strategy franchises ever is currently in the works: Master of Orion. You may remember us raving about Master of Orion after our hands-on time with the game at PAX Prime. Since then, the folks at NGD and WarGaming have spruced up their upcoming title with some extraordinary voice acting talent, which they revealed Thursday in a press release.

Luke Skywalker himself will take part in another battle for the fate of the galaxy, as Mark Hamill will step into the role of the Alkari emperor. Star Trek‘s Worf will also be joining the festivities, with Michael Dorn serving as Master of Orion‘s narrator. Other notable sci-fi names entering the fray are Dwight Schultz (Star Trek: The Next Generation), John de Lancie (Star Trek: The Next Generation), and Alan Tudyk (Firefly). So basically, it has all the makings of a science fiction fanboy’s true euphoria. Watch the actors speak about their experience working on Master of Orion in the video above.

Joining this star-studded cast of various classic sci-fi series stalwarts are two of the most renowned names in video game voice acting: Troy Baker and Nolan North. They will both be playing multiple roles in the game, because having these two guys voicing just one character a piece wouldn’t be enough.

Will the Master of Orion reboot be your pathway back into 4X strategy games? What kind of bankroll is WarGaming toting around to be able to afford so much big name talent? Tell us what you think about this news in the comments!
