With the premieres of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Agent Carter and Ant Man, 2015âs going to be a big year for Marvel across all live action fronts, but one project in particular has me more excited than any other: Daredevil. While the others are much what weâve come to expect from the company–high octane, big budget fair with new and familiar faces–Daredevilâs going to be the first time Marvel dives into the world of âmatureâ content and truly goes âdarkâ with its storytelling. However, we still donât know exactly when weâll be laying our heightened senses on the new series, but based on a new tweet from showrunner Steven DeKnight, it probably wonât be much longer now:
Thanks to the cast and crew for an amazing experience directing the season finale of #Daredevil. Goodby, NYC. Peace and love!

Planned as the first installment in a new âDefenders Sagaâ that will also include Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron First (as well as some majorly rumored but in no way confirmed Punisher inclusion), Daredevil is going boast a lot of changes in tone and style for the MCU. However, considering Drew Goddard wrote and directed the pilot while DeKnight (both Joss Whedon alums) acted as showrunner, we think the hero of Hellâs Kitchen is in good hands.
Like we said, 2015âs going to be a big year for Marvel, and if they manage to pull off everything they have planned, there might truly be no stopping the Hollywood powerhouse in the years to come.

Bahaha, Iron First!
Super ironic since he’ll be last.
