Marvel TV Announces Comic-Con Plans for LEGION, INHUMANS, THE GIFTED

Earlier today, Netflix revealed that Marvel’s The Defenders will get one of the coveted Hall H panels at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con International. But Marvel TV is far from done, and it’s bringing most of its live-action shows to SDCC…with one very surprising omission.

Marvel is kicking off Comic-Con with two back-to-back panels in Ballroom 20 on Thursday, July 20. The Legion panel will start at 5:00 pm and feature cast members and producers as they look back at the first season on FX and offer fans a peak at what’s coming up in season 2.

INHUMANS PANEL

Immediately following the Legion panel, Marvel’s Inhumans will take the Ballroom 20 stage at 6:15 pm. No panelists were named in the announcement, but cast members and producers are expected to appear as they drop some exclusive never-before-seen footage from Inhumans before its IMAX and TV debut in September.

THE GIFTED PANEL

The Gifted Teaser Trailer

They’re not quite the X-Men, but Fox is bringing The Gifted‘s mutant heroes to Comic-Con on Friday, July 21 in Ballroom 20 at 3:45pm. It’s not clear if the pilot episode will be screened, but the cast and producers will be taking questions from fans.

MARVEL ANIMATION PANEL

Avengers Secret Wars Shorts

The annual Marvel Animation panel is coming on Saturday, July 22 at 12:30pm in Room 6A. No details were included in the announcement, but it did tease some surprises. And this is presumably where the new season of Avengers: Secret Wars.

MARVEL’S SPIDER-MAN PANEL

Spider-Man Disney XD

Marvel TV is closing out the final day of Comic-Con with the world premiere of the new Disney XD original series Marvel’s Spider-Man. If you want to see it, make sure that you get to Room 6A at 10:15 am on Sunday, July 23.

So, what’s missing? For some reason, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. doesn’t have a panel this year.  That’s disappointing, but the rest of the lineup is definitely exciting.
