Marvel’s New Pop-Up Restaurant is a Comic-Foodie Paradise

Listen, it’s OK if you don’t immediately connect Marvel and food in your mind. Outside of a few references that spring to mind—the Twinkie ads from old comics, the “three-hour omelet” scene from Iron Man 2—food wasn’t exactly under the entertainment behemoth’s well-executed purview. Thanks to a new collaboration, however, fine dining can now be added to the seemingly infinite list of “things Marvel does well.”

This November, Marvel will team up with chefs Alvin Leung and Chris Cosentino to create Heroes and Villains, a pop-up endeavor that will take over the Hong Kong restaurant Bo Innovation. For three nights, fans that can snag a reservation (and, y’know, travel to Hong Kong) can partake in three 8-course meals, each course with some sort of Marvelous inspiration (get it?).

On night one, Cosentino will create all eight courses based on his favorite Marvel characters. On night two, Leung will follow suit. On the final night, the chefs will take a page out of Marvel Team-Up: Spider-Man and the Invincible Iron Man and create a meal together.

But don’t think it’ll be a stroll in the park to get a reservation: according to THR, only 50 people will have access to Heroes and Villains each night. So, y’know, if you’re within a reasonable distance of Hong Kong, definitely go make your reservations now. There’s no word yet as to what the courses will be called, but if Howard the Duck L’Orange isn’t on the menu, they missed a great opportunity.

So what do you think? Would you eat at a Marvel Themed restaurant? Is DC wishing they capitalized on a Planet Krypton chain from Kingdom Come? Let me know on Twitter or sound off in the comments below.
