Marvel Invites Fans To COLOR YOUR OWN DEADPOOL

2016 is shaping up to be Deadpool’s biggest year. Marvel’s Merc with a Mouth is joining the Uncanny Avengers, getting his own comic book series back…and of course, there is that R-rated Deadpool movie starring Ryan Reynolds as the title character.

Naturally, the next big frontier for Deadpool is…a coloring book?!

It’s true! Marvel is putting out a Color Your Own Deadpool book as part of its new line of Adult Coloring Books. The 120-page book will feature Deadpool artwork from the character’s 25 year history in Marvel Comics. Although we’re betting that Deadpool co-creators Rob Liefeld and Fabien Nicieza never imagined that their character would appear in a coloring book.

Color Your Own Deadpool
Supposedly it’s all very therapeutic to break out the crayons and markers and just color some of your favorite comic book characters. Marvel is actually kicking off its Adult Coloring Books line in October with Age of Ultron. But Deadpool gets to be the first solo Marvel hero to get an Adult Coloring Book of his own. Top that, Spider-Man!

And while you might expect to use up a lot of red on Deadpool’s costume…and that bodily fluid that he often spills, who is to say that you can’t just recolor Deadpool according to your own whims? Do you dare give the Red Hulk a different shade? Or to put Wade Wilson in plaid? Spider-Man is on the cover as well, so perhaps fans will be able to change the colors on his costume too.

Marvel’s Color Your Own Deadpool will be released in January and the cover price is $9,99.

Deadpool fans, is a coloring book the right gift for you? Unleash the red…or some other color in the comment section below!
