MARIO’S LOST KART Causes Havoc for a Real-World Driver in This Short Film

Who among us hasn’t wished for the chance to use Mario Kart‘s special abilities to get through rush hour? Traffic sucks, and we’d love to unleash the guided koopa shells against anyone in our path…if only it was possible to do so. But what if the Mario Karts actually existed? A newly released comedy short film explores that very idea as one lucky motorist discovers that he’s literally got Mario’s kart. But he may soon regret it.

Nukazooka’s film, Mario’s Lost Kart, follows an unnamed protagonist as he desperately attempts to arrive at a job interview on time. Through a set of bizarre circumstances, he ends up behind the wheel of a Mario Kart vehicle that is all too real. Unfortunately for him, this car doesn’t come with instructions, and he probably shouldn’t be pressing any buttons.

In the actual Mario Kart games, nobody gives side-eye quite like Luigi. It’s almost as if you can see the murderous intent in his eyes. That’s why it’s very amusing to see Luigi show up in this story and get a little revenge for anyone who has ever lost a Mario Kart race due to an untimely Koopa shell. And when Luigi is coming for you, there’s nowhere to run.

The video also has an oddly sinister take on Mario himself, when he comes looking for the whereabouts of his lost cart. In this world, if you dare to cross Mario, you’re gonna burn!
