Maltin on Movies #86: Roseanne Barr and Eric Weinrib

The Nerdist Podcast Network is proud to announce its latest addition, and it’s one with which you may be familiar: legendary movie critic Leonard Maltin’s Maltin on Movies, which joins our lineup today, right here, right now. There’s a reason Doug Benson created the Leonard Maltin Game — Leonard has been providing the definitive and exhaustive resource on movies for… forever, really. Generations wore out their copies of the Leonard Maltin movie guides, and we’re excited that he’s bringing his show to our network. You’ll hear some great guests coming up (yes, Doug’ll be on, scheduled to be on the show at San Diego Comic Con), and the kind of insight into movies new and old you expect from Leonard and his partner in podcasting, his daughter and fellow movie buff Jessie.

Oh, and if you wanna catch up, the archives from the last two years of shows, produced for our friends at Earwolf, are all on iTunes. But as for the big Nerdist network debut, here it is:

For his debut show on Nerdist, Leonard Maltin and his daughter Jessie welcome the always-outspoken Roseanne Barr and Eric Weinrib, director of the new documentary Roseanne for President! The conversation ranges from the comedienne’s presidential run in 2012 to her favorite performers when she was growing up. Eric, whose past adventures with Ken Kesey and Hunter S. Thompson prepared him for almost anything, explains how his long association with Michael Moore led to this collaboration with Roseanne.
