Baboon Runner is indeed a classic! And those of us privileged to know Daniel appreciates that he lives his life the way he says–and, more importantly, he enables others the freedom to do the same. So many good parts in this, Riki, thanks to your interview skills.. Another great job. Looking forward to your next Stessen video!
This was such a great interview, and I really appreciated hearing the perspective of a healthy artist. I agree with so much of what Daniel is saying here, and I really admire his outlook. Thanks so much!
The People-Food domain seems to have been bought up and turned into a recipe website. Does that Baboon Runner video exist anywhere on youtube or vimeo?
Congratulations on 50! Your positive outlook and attitude is an inspirational change of pace from the usual cynicism so prevalent everywhere else. You’re a true gem! Here’s to another 50! Thanks for staying so upbeat!
I think his point about “nobody cares” is that don’t do creative works to please others, do them for yourself, and don’t obsess over the small details because ultimately they don’t really matter to anyone but you. Usually rough enough is good enough, as long as you’re doing it right, and you’ll know where that sweet spot is after some experience under your belt.
