Make Your Own Gorgeous Geometric Halloween Masks

Finding a cool Halloween costume that is sure to be a hit at your party doesn’t have to be as complicated as trigonometry, not with these awesome, and strangely creepy, do-it-yourself geometric Halloween masks.

Created by Marianne and Steve Wintercroft of Redruth, England, these masks are available for download on their Etsy page for a little over seven dollars U.S. (though the bigger, articulated elephant and fish will run you a little more at $8.65). You can also get some of their sets at a group discount. They encourage you to use recycled paper to make them.

They have over 50 masks available, ranging from sweet, innocent pandas and pigs, to much more menacing skull masks and The Devil himself, though the animal ones might be the most unsettling. Once you download the templates you simply follow the instructions and paint the masks however you choose.

These things are strangely hypnotic, and while the mathematical aspect might make them sound like they are elaborate, wearable origami-esque art pieces, they would scare the living hell out of you if you walked into your home to see their blank eyes staring back at you. In fact, I demand they immediately reshoot True Detective Season 2 and incorporate these masks into every episode.

We have a few more in our gallery below, but don’t forget to head over and check out the rest, because not only are they impressive, they really do work as a costume for our favorite holiday.

Which mask do you think is the answer to your Halloween costume problem? Sum up your ideas in the comment section below.
