Star Wars fans who went to Disney’s D23 Expo hoping to get info about the upcoming films didn’t walk away empty handed. On Saturday, Lucasfilm unveiled the entire cast of director Gareth Edwards’ Star Wars: Rogue One and shared the first picture from the set!

As previously announced, Felicity Jones stars in Rogue One as a member of the Rebel Alliance who takes part in a mission to steal the plans for the original Death Star. Pictured alongside Jones are her fellow rebels Riz Ahmed, Diego Luna, Jiang Wen, and Donnie Yen.

Forest Whitaker and Ben Mendelsohn were also confirmed for the Rogue One cast with the surprising addition of Mads Mikkelsen, the star of NBC’s recently cancelled Hannibal. It was also announced that Firefly and Con Man star Alan Tudyk will portray a performance-captured character in Rogue One.

“Rogue One takes place before the events of Star Wars: A New Hope and will be a departure from the saga films but have elements that are familiar to the Star Wars universe,” explained Lucasfilm’s Kathleen Kennedy. “It goes into new territory, exploring the galactic struggle from a ground-war perspective while maintaining that essential Star Wars feel that fans have come to know. Gareth is such an innovative director and I’m so excited to be working with him and the extraordinary ensemble cast he’s selected for Rogue One.”

Star Wars: Rogue One will be released on December 16, 2016.
