Wildlings: You make my heart sing. You make everything groovy â if your definition of “groovy” is actually “terribly uncertain.” Those wandering free people are at the heart of several of the deleted and extended scenes of this new video from Game of Thrones‘ third season. And if ever there were an insight into what’s going to occur in the upcoming fourth installation of the fantasy epic â premiering April 6th on HBO â it is in these uncovered scenes. (Though that latest trailer didn’t hurt, either.) After all, Mance Rayder has been making his way toward The Wall for ages now, and scenes of a great fight at Castle Black have been hinted at in both of the season four trailers. C’mon down, Wildlings â you’re the next contestants on Game of Thrones! And we all know what that means.
The video includes 5 scenes (two extended, three deleted) from the newly released on DVD season, and three of them involve discussions of wildling ways and how their impending arrival in the North will influence â or not â the rest of the Realm.
But perhaps the most amusing part of the whole thing starts at 9:07, where we find a fishing Tywin Lannister giving Maester Pycelle a serious dose of real talk regarding his place on the council in addition to his bumbling-old-man song and dance. There’s also a peek at Robb Stark, for those of you missing the Westeros world pre-Red Wedding.
What do you think of the deleted scenes? Excited for season four? Let us know in the comments.
