Funko Opens Up A LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS

One of the quirkiest musicals to ever hit Broadway was the adaptation of the B-horror movie Little Shop of Horrors. The show ran for five years, and was created by composer Alan Menken and writer Howard Ashman, the same two musical geniuses who would later revive the Disney musical with The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast.

The play centers around geeky florist shop worker named Seymour who raises a plant that feeds on human blood and flesh. The show was turned into a movie in 1986 from director Frank Oz, starring Rick Moranis and Ellen Greene, and which went on to become a cult classic. Now the characters from the film are ready to adorn your shelves as the latest Funko toys hitting stores this August.

The collection features Seymour (Rick Moranis) holding a small Audrey II, the man eating plant, Seymour’s love interest Audrey (Ellen Greene), and her savage dentist boyfriend (Steve Martin) also make an appearance, along with the killer plant Audrey II, and a bloody chase indicating that Audrey II recently fed. The
chase is a rarity of 1-in-6. An adorable baby version of Audrey II will also be available at Target.

Also on its way, exclusively at Hot Topic stores, is the 12” Audrey II SuperCute Plush. But be sure to keep a safe distance and don’t obey any of Audrey II’s orders. Don’t let the SuperCute Plush exterior fool you. Audrey II is a man-eater. Sure, she’s got some decent vocal cords and a proven ability to attract an
adoring crowd, but they don’t call the movie Little Shop of Horrors for nothing. You can check out the entire collection down below in our gallery.

Are you as excited as we are to bring these cult classic characters to your shelf? Be sure to let us know down below in the comments.
