Listen to Mulder Search for Scully in the THE X-FILES Audiobook (Exclusive)

Before Fox ordered a revival season of The X-Files, fans had to turn to the comic book realm for the further adventures of Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. Under the direction of series creator Chris Carter, writer Joe Harris and artist Michael Walsh continued the world of the show in The X-Files: Season 10 comic book. Adding to the off-screen universe of the series, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson have gone on to reprise their iconic roles in a new audio drama.

Earlier this week, Audible released The X-Files: Cold Cases, a full-cast audio play adapted by Dirk Maggs (The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy). From what we know about the audiobook. it appears to be based upon Harris and Walsh’s first story arc, which featured Mulder and Scully up against an enigmatic group that seemed to use their psychic powers to abduct Scully. Today, we’ve got an exclusive preview from Cold Cases that catches up to Mulder and his boss, Agent Skinner (Mitch Pileggi), as they attempt to find Scully. However, the trail has already gone cold.

Duchovny, Anderson, and Pileggi weren’t the only performers to return for this audio series. William B. Davis is reprising his role as the Cigarette Smoking Man, while Bruce Harwood, Tom Braidwood, and Dean Haglund aren’t letting a little thing like death get in the way of the Lone Gunmen making an appearance as well.

The X-Files: Cold Cases is available here, and if the subsequent episodes are made, more characters from the original series could also appear. Which long-lost X-Files characters would you like to see get a comeback in the audiobook? Let us know in the comment section below!
