Two weeks ago, The Shins unveiled their charming new indie track “So Now What” for Zach Braff’s new film, Wish I Was Here, and now Bon Iver has followed suit, releasing the mesmerizing, sparingly falsetto “Heavenly Father,” which sounds like it could have been a Volcano Choir composition from their last album Repave. No matter the project , Justin Vernon always finds the precise way to convey tragedy and beauty in an admirably concise way. “Heavenly Father” might be the highlight of the entire Wish I Was Here soundtrack. Treat yourself and stream it now via NPR.
