LIGHTNING RETURNS: FINAL FANTASY XIII Trailer Shows Off Evolved Battle System

Earlier this week, the demo for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII hit the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. But for those who have yet to try it out or for anyone seeking more perspective on how the battle system has been updated from the last game, Square Enix has released this trailer to get everyone educated in time for the games release next month:

Oddly enough, many fans were worried that Lightning Returns was shaping up more to be a game of dress-up and less an RPG, but surely that trailer has changed many’s outrageous views on the game. There’s clearly been a plethora of improvements made to the battle system, like players being able to guard and evade enemy attacks, as well as the robust amount of customization available for the combat, which all make sense considering it’s being performed in real time.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will hit store shelves on February 11 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
