LEGO JURASSIC WORLD Gets a New Trailer

Though it seems like just about every franchise these days is getting the LEGO game treatment, we couldn’t help but get excited about Warner Bros. Interactive’s announcement a few months back that LEGO: Jurassic World–which spans the first three films as well as the upcoming film starring Chris Pratt–was to come out some time this year. Now, thanks to a brand new trailer, we finally have an idea of what to expect in terms of gameplay, and know that it will be arriving on all major platforms some time this June.

It’s true, we’ve had nostalgia-inducing, dino-filled games from other developers in the past, but they never quite hit the mark. The charming trailer for TT Games’ upcoming title looks like the series is finally getting a worthy video game edition.

From the looks of the trailer, a lot of the memorable movie moments will be present in the game–but with the slapstick humor the LEGO franchise is known for. We get to see a cow using a crane to drop one of the workers into a dinosaur-filled pit, and even the famous scene where the group is getting chased by a T-rex. Luckily, there was a well placed tree in the way to stop the massive beast.

Also, it looks like all of our favorite characters from the franchise have returned. There is even a tiny plastic version of Doctor Ian Malcolm–complete with Jeff Golblum’s characteristically monotone voice. As far as setting goes, because the game is telling the story of all of the films, you’ll get to traverse the settings of Isla Nubar and Isla Sorna.

Did the above trailer bring back memories? Are you looking forward to playing the game? Let us know in the comments below.
