LEGO’s Next Blind-Bag Minifig Series Is HARRY POTTER

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has seen many LEGO incarnations since the film series began, but if you wanted to get all the major characters previously, you’d be dropping a lot of coin on various elaborate playsets. But starting in August, the chase for magical minifigs is getting a change up, as the Potter-verse (including Fantastic Beasts) populates the entire next wave of individually bagged LEGO characters.

Representing the Newt Scamander prequel era will be Newt (with Niffler), Jacob Kowalski, Tina Goldstein, Queenie Goldstein, Credence Barebone, and Percival Graves.

From the Hogwarts contingent, meanwhile, we have, of course, Luna Lovegood, Neville Longbottom, Cho Chang, Dean Thomas, Lord Voldemort, Dobby, Cedric Diggory (Twilight customizers, go crazy!), Alastor “Mad-Eye” Moody, Professor Flitwick, Sybill Trelawney, Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter in School Robes (with Hedwig), Ron Weasley in School Robes (with Scabbers), Hermione Granger in School Robes (with Crookshanks), Draco Malfoy in Quidditch Robes, and Harry Potter in Pajamas (with Invisibility Cloak).

That’s a line pretty light on villains–you could probably do a whole additional series given the significant missing characters like Snape and Bellatrix Lestrange. Perhaps that’ll be next. In the meantime, it won’t take magic to figure out which figure is in which blind bag, but it will take some skill with your fingers. As with potions classes, practice is essential.

Check out some closer looks at all the figures below, then tell us who you’d like to see next in comments.
