We’re literally a day away from E3, so of course there are more leaks. According to Pure Xbox, a source has revealed that Activision will be announcing a new cel-shaded car converter title in the form of, Transformer: Devastation, at this weeks big show. All that is known at the moment is that it will definitely be on the Xbox 360. I expect it to be on both last- and current-gen home consoles, if Activision’s track record is anything to go by. Their last Transformers iteration was basically on every platform imaginable so I don’t see that changing. That of course, isn’t enough to stop the internet from running wild with speculation that it will be an Xbox exclusive. I’m not saying it’s impossible for it to be exclusive, it just wouldn’t make too much sense to ignore half of the communities money.
There’s also a rumor running rampant that this could be Platinum’s unannounced title; I doubt it. Vanquish 2 makes much more sense, especially when considering their teases from last week. Forget who is working on it though, the images look slick and I dig the cel-shaded look, hopefully the gameplay will be on par with the fantastic art direction. The history of the previous games in the franchise isn’t terrible, there have been a few stinkers, but also some that showed plenty of potential . This could be the one to finally provide the sort of full throttle action we have been clamoring for.
Usually an unnamed “source” doesn’t provide enough credibility to believe a rumor, but the images provided are plentiful and look legit. Still, take all these leaks with a grain of salt. Feast your eyes on the gallery below, which provides bountiful amounts of transforming action.
