Lady Dynamite and Lots More: Upcoming Podcasts

Before we talk about what’s coming up this week on the Nerdist Podcast Network, may you dads and people who have dads have a Happy Father’s Day full of gifts and fun and whatever you dads do. I’m only dad to a cat, so it’s the usual work and the NBA Finals on TV with some popcorn for me. That’s actually not that bad a day, TBH. But we do have some gifts for you (scheduling and taping permitting), including:

The return of the brilliant Maria Bamford to the Nerdist Podcast, this time to talk about her unique Netflix series Lady Dynamite, which you should see if you haven’t already (so original, so Maria, so many other great comics popping up including our own Jackie Kashian). And Maria offers Chris some marriage tips, talks about when not to take work, and discusses dealing with depression and waiting for the “happiness bus.” Do not miss it.

Oh, there’ll be more. Lots more. Trouble is, we’re still working on what we’ll have. I know we’ll be getting some NHL awards action from Wyshinski and Lozo on Puck Soup, and The Jackie and Laurie Show will get all political on your asses. There’ll be another Bachelorette recap plus a visit from contestant Christian Bishop on Will You Accept This Rose?. Actor/director/writer Jordan Firstman will visit Love, Alexi. And we’ll get part 2 of Chris Farren’s appearance on The Todd Glass Show.

And more than that, but we’re still working on it. In the meantime, you’ll want to go to the Nerdist Podcast Network homepage and Facebook page to make sure you don’t miss anything. Subscribing would ensure that, too, so do that. Now, go back to your Father’s Day festivities, and, you know what? From someone who can’t do it anymore, take it from me, if you love your dad, go tell him that, and hug him as long as you can. You won’t regret it.
