KEY & PEELE Kill Aliens …and Racists in a Big Budget, Hilarious New Clip

How can you tell an alien from a human? RACISM, DUH! Oh Key & Peele, you funny lads — we marvel at your ability to skewer big societal conversation points with goofy humor. And in this sketch from the upcoming fourth season of the series, we’re served more of the same.

Because it’s actually sort of brilliant when you think about it: racism is at times insidious and disguises itself as something that it’s typically not (like, say, a very welcoming and accepting redneck person). In a clip that has the look and feel of a high-octane exposition scene from a McG film (where are Charlie’s Angels when you need ’em, eh?), Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele are shown on the hunt for survival in a dystopian future run amuck with creatures not of this world. Their task? Picking off said incognito aliens with their impressive deductive reasoning skills.

Old man afraid they’re stealing money? Not an alien. Middle-aged, well to do white guy who’s totally down with one of the guys dating their daughter? Alien. A black guy who has stronger opinions on Police the band than the police themselves? Yup: totally an alien. Sorry, Emily — of course your name is Emily, by the way — these are things you learn through experiencing, not something that can be taught in a class.

Are you ready for more hilarious commentary from Key & Peele? What’s your favorite sketch? Let us know in the comments below.

    noun: racism

the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.
prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one’s own race is superior.

  4. Hilarious. I like getting content from Nerdist, but I don’t like when the title / first line give away the first joke in an awesome sketch like this.

Yep, that worked. I laughed heartily.
