Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, better known as Key & Peele, are fast becoming a powerful duo in comedy perhaps similar to Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg or Amy Poehler and Tina Fey. Already, they’re on their fourth season of their vastly popular and critically acclaimed sketch show, which has an animated spin-off in the works, as well as producing a reboot of the Police Academy film franchise.
Now, Maker Studios, one of the biggest online media networks, wants in on Key and Peele and has set up a web series called Ithamar Has Nothing to Say that the duo will be producing and make cameos in. With six episodes ordered, Ithamar Has Nothing to Say will follow star/producer Ithamar Enriquez and his experiences in American culture without saying anything.
The show has been described by Corey Moss at Principato-Young Entertainment, another producing partner in this project, as “Mr. Bean meets Louie meets Walter Mitty.â
2013 was a great year for Key and Peele, and 2014 seems set to be even better.
