In the KEANU Trailer, KEY AND PEELE Risk it All for a Tiny, Adorable Kitten

Key and Peele just get us, man. And by us, I don’t just mean me, personally. I mean you—the internet at large—too. Why, just look at the trailer for their latest and you’ll get it: an action-packed comedy thriller centered around the disappearance of a teeny, tiny, totally adorable kitten named Keanu. (No relation to the Reeves guy, as far as we can tell–though the film does have a very John Wick vibe.) So basically, Keanu‘s going to make every single movie-going internet-loving human’s to-see list this year. Cats and jokes and jokes and cats: it’s everything we like!

Unfortunately, not too much is known about the film, but I mean, what else do you need to know other than that? This movie had me at Key and Peele, but the trailer really, really sold me when it revealed itself to be about a goddamn cat. After bounding into his life with sudden, adorable aplomb, it looks as though, based on the trailer, Keanu’s disappearance sends friends Clarence (Keegan-Michael Key) and Ed (Jordan Peele) on a quest to retrieve him that involves going semi-undercover as a couple of drug dealers in order to ensure the kitten’s release. On the way, they run into a bevy of curious characters, played by the likes of Will Forte, Method Man, and Nia Long. Gabrielle Union also stars.

But what do you think of the trailer? Let us know in the comments below.
