Last weekend at the 18th annual Art Directors Guild Awards in Los Angeles, Nerdist caught up with presenter and one of our favorites, Longmire star Katee Sackhoff and asked the Battlestar Galactica alum what the status of the Riddick franchise was. Will there be another film? “Oh, I think so. Definitely. I think Vin [Diesel] and David Twohy will.” Would we see her back as Dahl? “I think itâs just a matter of whether or not theyâll let me do it!”
Up next for Sackhoff is the Blumhouse horror feature Oculus. Said Sackhoff, “[I’m] really excited about Oculus… couldnât be more thrilled. Itâs a different, new take on something thatâs so simplistic and I really feel that fans are going to walk out of there just completely thrilled and really, really satisfied at seeing a different, nuanced, smart horror film.”
For an actress who is known for her work in genre film and television, what keeps her coming back for more? “You know, I grew up on science fiction and action and I absolutely love it. Itâs what I want to watch so I always get pulled back.”
Oculus opens on April 11, 2014 and Longmire returns to A&E this summer.
