JUSTICE LEAGUE is Taking Over DC Comics’ Covers This November (Exclusive)

On November 17, DC Comics‘ iconic superteam will unite on the big screen for the very first time in the long-awaited Justice League movie. Directed by Zack Snyder–with an alley-oop from Joss Whedon–the film will bring together Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg in a battle against Steppenwolf and the forces of Darkseid for the fate of the Earth and the DC Extended Universe itself. To celebrate this momentous occasion, DC Comics is unveiling a collection of variant covers that will roll out during the month of November. These specialty covers are themed around the Justice League film and feature lush illustrations of DC’s most memorable superheroes modeled after their cinematic counterparts. Using the Speed Force, we bent both space and time to our will in order to give you a look into the future with an exclusive sneak peek at the covers for Action Comics #991 and Superman #35.

First up we have Yanick Paquette‘s variant cover for Action Comics #991, which features Wonder Woman presumably saving Batman’s bat-butt yet again. I may be biased, but I still maintain that this bears a closer resemblance to our own Jessica Chobot than Gal Gadot. It’s not Paquette’s fault that Jess has Themysciran DNA. You can nab this on November 8.

Next up, we have Renato Guedes’ Superman #35 cover illustration of Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Gadot as Wonder Woman, and Ben Affleck as Batman standing on what looks like the greatest doormat I’ve ever seen. Is that what awaits solicitors who knock on the front door of the Fortress of Solitude? I certainly hope so. This bad boy goes on sale on November 15.
