Jimmy Fallon, if nothing else, is the king of goofy musical numbers â something that did quite well for him during his days on Saturday Night Live and Late Night. Being able to bring some seriously big stars into the mix thanks to his helming duties over at The Tonight Show has only made it all the more enjoyable. Like this latest one with Julianna Margulies, where the duo play a pair of perfectly embarrassing principals making morning announcements via modern day pop songs. Because they’re not regular principals â they’re cool principals! So hip, so with it, so totally on board with kids today.
Covering the likes of Iggy Azalea, Sam Smith, Bey-once, Margulies and Fallon break it down like the truly second-hand embarrassing adult figureheads that they are. Also I had no idea I needed to see Margulies singing about sexting to the tune of that “Rude” song by Magic, but thank goodness for the Internet, providing us with the content equivalent of an “As Seen on TV!” infomercial. Julianna Margulies should play out of touch but trying adults more often. Also those glasses.
If this and that Thicky Trick video from last season are any indication, we need MORE musical comedy from Margulies. Please? Pretty please? I mean COME ON just look at this work of music video beauty:
OK seriously though why doesn’t Margulies do more comedy? Don’t get us wrong, we love her doing serious stuff (obviously â Alicia Florrick 4 PREZ), but wouldn’t it be fun to see her cut loose a bit? What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
