Josh Brolin Loves Thanos’ Ability to Freak Out Comics Fans

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been going strong since 2008. We’re coming up on the eight year anniversary of Iron Man‘s realease in May of 2008. At the time, we all just thought it was going to be a few movies, with The Incredible Hulk coming later that summer. But no; in less than a decade we’ve had 12 movies and the actors cast in the major roles have become bona fide stars if they weren’t already. Joining such a franchise means you’re probably going to be in several movies and embody the character for a whole generation of people. And nobody’s more aware of this than Josh Brolin.

After years of Marvel teasing the character and him having a cameo in 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Brolin will finally get to unleash the might of Thanos beginning in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War – Part I. And given that there’s going to be a lot more cosmic-themed Marvel movies in the coming years, Thanos will probably have a whole lot to do.

While on Conan to promote the Coen BrosHail, Caesar!, Brolin regaled Conan O’Brien with his yes-man attitude about his upcoming meeting with Kevin Feige and co., and also explained how comic book store workers reacted to him stopping in to get some research on Thanos. (Hint: It involves a lot of pointing and shouting incoherently.)

What do you think of Josh Brolin strapping on the Infinity Gauntlet in two years? What other movies do you hope Thanos appears? Let us know in the comments below!
