This week on Jonah Raydio, we have Zac Carper, lead singer and guitarist of Fidlar. Topics discussed include how both Zac and Jonah got messed with by Samoans while growing up in Hawaii, and how Jonah once lied his way out of a DUI. Zacâs sister Alice and our good friend and former guest Tony Thaxton also joined us. Fidlar is on tour now, so check them out! http://fidlar.tumblr.com/

I went to the Wavves/Fidlar show in Cleveland last week. I managed to push my way to the front of the crowd during a wild mosh pit and spent pretty much the whole show sitting on the edge of the stage. I wouldn’t recommend doing that though. Everyone was pushing to make it to the front the whole time so I was getting crushed. I am way to out of shape for mosh pits.
Awesome episode, love FIDLAR. Heard them for the first time on this show. Realized they’re coming to Ireland soon so booked tickets straight away.Cannot frickin wait.
Also agree with Zac, Wavves new album is really incredible!
Keep up the great work Jonah and the lads, and hope Adam gets a mic soon! Maybe someday we’ll hear Adam RodRadio… sucky name but whatever

That electronic song was the best music they played. Fidlar’s music was OK but those lyrics are the kind of lyrics a 13 year old would write. Funniest part of the episode was when Jonah said he like “that 90’s punk sound”. Hahaha!
Dear Jonah + friends + guy who holds the weed,
Now I know that art is very subjective so I tend not to judge too much but…the dubstep you played for a few seconds in this episode was total shit. it sounds like someone gave a dubstep synthesizer to a chubby 3 year old who randomly banged on it with his sticky sausage fingers. If this is your sole experience with dubstep I understand the hate.
Now I used to be like you guys, I guy on the wrong side of his 20s, thinking that I’m just too old to get this shit. I literally had to force myself to listen to dubstep to try to get it, and I still hated it. What changed my mind was hearing the glorious harmonics and filthy fucking drops of Dubba Jonnny.

Watch. Listen. Beware of seizures.
I know people complain when you talk about Hawaii, but as someone who lives in Hawaii I love it. It’s a cool connection to the show. Really digging on Fidlar too. Love the show.
