Join the Nerdist Movie Club!

If you’re like me—and most of us here at Nerdist, for that matter—you practically never shut up about movies. You never seem to run out of things to say about your lifelong favorites, and you’re just as excited to engage in discussions about cinematic gems you’ve only just discovered. And what’s more, you’re always looking for new films to check out, and new people to chat about them with. Unfortunately, not everyone harbors that same passion for ’round-the-clock movie chatter. But even if you’ve already exhausted the patience of all your friends, relatives, pets, enemies, postal workers, and sewer-dwelling hermits, fear not: Nerdist Movie Club is here for you.

Nerdist Movie Club, Nerdist’s first official Facebook Group, will offer you a forum to talk about cinema until you’re blue in the face (whether it be of the Na’vi, Mystique, or Smurf variety). We welcome one and all to join the fun of weighing in on all-time favorites, participating in respectful debates about the latest superhero blockbusters, and seeking out—and offering!—recommendations for the best features to stream on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

To get the ball rolling, we’re asking our earliest legions of members to chime in on one simple, but deceptively difficult, question: What is your all-time favorite movie? We know, we know, it can be nearly impossible to choose, but we believe you’ve got in you. Just like Luke did. Or Rey. Or Peter. Or Marty, or Mulan, or Frodo, or Clarice, or Forrest, or Furiosa, or Neo, or Chihiro, or George, or Simba, or Ripley, or Sarah, or HAL, or… well, you get the idea.

Click here to join the Nerdist Movie Club and begin gushing about anything from The Bicycle Thieves to The Fast and the Furious, from X-Men to The Lost City of Z, from Star Wars to Moonstruck. We look forward to hearing from you!
