Join Nerdist for a Week of Brand New, 100% LIVE Shows!

We have some very exciting news, dear friends! Next week, we’ll be unveiling SIX new potential shows for a very experimental, off-the-cuff pilot week. Each new show features faces both familiar and new, and will continue to nerd out about the stuff we know and love: games, comics, movies, TV, science, and all things pop culture. And the real exciting news is, all of them will be LIVE.

Yes, we’ll be streaming live from the Nerdist studio all next week to test out our shiny new equipment, play with formats, and test other fun features out. There will be polls, chats, and surveys available for each and every new show so you can be a part of the action and help us fine tune our new slate. Since this is all brand new for us, things might break every now and then — but don’t worry! It’ll be ok. We’re here for you. But most importantly, we want to hear FROM you – after you watch a new show, tell us what you think, because we take all your feedback to heart.

Check out our full schedule below, and stay tuned all next week on Facebook and Twitter for more details about how and where to watch. We can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on with you!

Do you have a permanent case of the FEELS? Love things so obsessively that you just want to talk about them all the time? Welcome to Fangirling: a show where it’s OK to obsessive over a thing, have some silly-good fun, and explode with the joy that comes with being not afraid to love stuff. For the first episode, hosts Alicia Lutes and Rachel Heine will hang with The 100‘s Eliza Taylor and share special segments from Orphan Black‘s Tatiana Maslany and the one and only Wil Wheaton!

Have you ever wondered how we choose what story to cover for Nerdist News? Which news gets cut or breaks at the very last second? How Jessica Chobot gets into the hosting zone? Well now, you get to join us behind the scenes of the Nerdist newsroom. Join our motley to talk down the day’s episode with Nerdist hosts, staff, and guests. Stay tuned to find out who will be joining next week for two special episodes of Nerdist News Live.

Tuesday, April 26 from 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. PT

In addition to bringing us the biggest stories every day with Nerdist News, Jessica Chobot hosts a weekly vodcast (that’s like a podcast, but with video!) about her one true love: video games. (Sorry, Blair.) For each episode of Save Point, Chobot will join forces with different game fanatics to break down the latest, greatest, and lamest coming out of the gaming space that week. We’re kicking things off next week with our pal Rahul Kohli from iZombie and President of Insomniac Games, Ted Price!

Monday, April 25 from 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. PT

Go behind the scenes of the stories you love with Secret Headquarters, a SUPER SECRET roundtable discussion of all things pop culture. Each week, resident pun-master Dan Casey (The Dan Cave) gathers three experts to discuss, dissect, and review all the latest news, trailers, and insider scoops from the week in movies, TV, comics, and more. Next week, join Dan Casey, Ashley Esqueda (CNET’s Tomorrow Daily), Alicia Malone (Fandango, Screen Junkies, Movies Are My Jam), and Kristian Harloff (Collider Movie Talk, Schmoes Know) for the very first episode of… Secret Headquarters. *ominous music*

After you watch the pilot, share your thoughts in our fancy-schmancy survey. Remember, this is a week to test out new shows, formats, and tech, so we want to hear your feedback!
