John Boyega Shows Off New STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Poster

Tired of Star Wars news yet? We certainly hope not! On top of everything else awesome to come out of D23 Expo on Saturday regarding Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the new Star Wars Land at the Disney Parks, fans in attendance also got a poster for the film featuring art by the legendary artist Drew Struzan, whose work has been featured on posters for everything from the Indiana Jones movies to Blade Runner to Aliens to The Mist, not to mention all six previous Star Wars flicks.

The Force Awakens star and all-around awesome dude John Boyega unveiled the poster via Walt Disney Studios’ Twitter account following the panel and later he posted the image to his Instagram.

Clearly a big fan of painting Harrison Ford’s face, Struzan’s teaser poster features the aging Han Solo holding his trademark pistol while above we see Boyega’s Finn (holding a lightsaber!!! Does this mean he’s a Jedi?!?!? I feel like that’s what this means), Daisy Ridley’s Rey, and the masked and evil visage of Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren, along with images of X-Wings and TIE Fighters on either side (light and dark, you understand).

This poster, like all of Struzan’s galaxy far, far away work, will look amazing adorning the walls of young people’s bedrooms the world over. Hell, who needs to be young? Most adults would love to have that in their home. What a work of art!

Let us know what you think of the poster, and the whole Finn has a lightsaber thing, in the comments below! And may the force be force force.
