#JohnBoyegaReacting to Things Is Our New Favorite Meme

You know what? We’re just going to go ahead and say it: thank goodness for the internet. Only here could you find such an eclectic smattering of weirdness so gleefully and willfully accepted into the world. Random ideas and silly thoughts become memes and videos and cultural phenomenons—and our latest goofy, in-office shenanigans have (hopefully!) started another one: Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ John Boyega reacting to things.

If you’re anything like the rest of us, you likely lapped up each and every single tangentially related Star Wars item with gleeful abandon after The Force Awakens trailer dropped earlier this week. But there was perhaps no more an adorable happening than the videos Boyega and his costar Daisy Ridley posted on Instagram. Watching the trailer for the first time they—like the rest of us!—were overcome with emotions and feels, and what resulted was pure joy. And, well, being that we’re ridiculous monsterpeople with a penchant for stream of consciousness absurdity, #JohnBoyegaReacting was born: mashing up memes and silly in-jokes with Boyega reacting to them at the end.

So we’ve decided—ala the #Prattkeeping meme—to take matters into our own [social media manager Michelle Buchman]’s hands and made something so silly and dumb we hope it brings you a bit of joy and inspires you to get in on the fun.

If you get in on the action and create your own Boyega gifs, make sure to @-tag us on Twitter and Instagram, and hashtag them #JohnBoyegaReacting so we can all fuel the Force of this sorta fun. I mean, it’s Friday after all.

Which are your favorites? Let us know in the comments!
