Jodie Foster, Hoops With The Starters, and More: Upcoming Podcasts

The steady stream of big-time guests continues this week on the Nerdist Podcast Network, so let’s take a look at what’s coming up, shall we (subject to schedule changes)? Yes, let’s:

Jodie Foster will be on the Nerdist Podcast this week. Jodie Foster! She doesn’t do a lot of interviews, so this is special. And you’ll get her insights into acting versus directiong, her mother’s influence, making the transition from child actor to adult, and her new movie Money Monster with George Clooney and Julia Roberts, opening this week.

This week on The Jonah Keri Podcast, NBA TV’s The Starters (they will always be The Basketball Jones to me) will be on hand to talk basketball (and call me crazy, but I have a feeling the Raptors will come up), and in a second episode, Arkells, the pride of Hamilton, Ontario, will talk music, career, social media, and, yes, the Raptors and Jays. They might just sing a cover version of a theme you know and love, too. Their new single is here, the new album hits in August, and they’ll be at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and a festival near you this Summer.

More: Writer/director Nicholas Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Him To The Greek, The Muppets, The Carmichael Show) on The Writers Panel. Actress Andrée Vermeulen (Angie Tribeca) on Today We Learned. And Erin McGathy (This Feels Terrible, Harmontown) on Love, Alexi.

And more. There are always pleasant surprises — hey, you weren’t expecting Shaq last week, but there he was. The way to catch everything is to go to the Nerdist Podcast Network homepage and Facebook page, and definitely subscribe to any and all of ’em. You keep listening, we’ll keep making more. Deal? Deal.
