Jimmy Pardo’s Pardcast-a-Thon Goes for a Record for Smile Train

Comedian and podcast trailblazer Jimmy Pardo has been holding his annual Pardcast-a-Thon to benefit Smile Train four years in a row, and is now making it a great fifth (and hopefully sixth, seventh, and… you get it). Since 2009, Pardo and his plethora of hilarious and famous friends, including Conan O’Brien, Jon Hamm, Sarah Silverman, Amy Poehler, Aimee Mann, and more, have raised over $300,000. That’s over $300K going towards helping children who need cleft palate surgery around the world get exactly that, so they can do basic things like smile.

If that’s not a world record of a podcast raising money for charity, you at least have to stop and clap for the cause they’re supporting.

After you’re done clapping, make sure to make a reminder to watch the live webcast of Pardcast-a-Thon on November 29th and donate to Smile Train (we’d hope that you would have gotten your PS4 or X Box One before Black Friday so you can watch this) at Pardcast.com or Laffster.com/nnf. Stopping by this year with Jimmy and his co-hosts Matt Belknap and Pat Francis over 12 hours are plenty of fantastic guests, including Zach Galifianakis, Patton Oswalt, Scott Aukerman, Doug Benson, Andy Richter, and many more to be announced. Also, if you donate, there will be special prizes you could win from the guests, which could be anything, but also could be something you’d drop money to frame, because it might be from the personal collection of Galifianakis or Oswalt.

Also, it’s not like I need a reason to post Jimmy Pardo doing a panel interview with his boss Conan O’Brien last night, but if that’ll get you more into the Pardcast-a-Thon next week, then that’s more than enough of a reason for me. So, here’s Pardo attempting to get through a single story on Conan, emphasis on “attempting”.

I applaud Jimmy Pardo and Never Not Funny for their dedication to this cause. Smile Train has such a great impact on this world. I have contributed to organizations that rebuild wells in Africa and I feel that Smile Train is doing pretty noble work as well.

Btw that clip of Jimmy on Conan is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a while.

    Hi Robert,

We would love for you to get involved with Smile Train! Please call me at (212)689-9199 ext. 256 or email me at: [email protected]. I look forward to hearing from you!

  4. I was born with a cleft lip and palate. School was terrible because of the scars I have. The things that doctors can do now for these kids is simply amazing and make it almost unnoticeable. This is an amazing cause and if there is anything I can do to help please let me know.
