Step right up, folks, and take a look: at the shiniest and nerdiest skull you’ve ever seen! No, that’s not Mark Zuckerberg trying out a super-sinister new hairstyle, it’s the one and only ultimate Super-nemesis, Lex Luthor. Though actor Jesse Eisenberg has portrayed both mega-rich overlord types, only his character in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to cause a world of pain for our favorite DC superheroes.
Entertainment Weekly brought us all the first look at the very naked-browed Eisenberg, putting on his best scowl for the photo. But it wasn’t all just visual hints at the upcoming super-flick: the film’s director Zack Synder also got in on the reveal game, teasing tidbits about this browless baddie — OK, so technically he’s the second one, if Jared Leto’s Joker look has any say in the matter — and his latest iteration.
“Our Lex is disarming and he’s not fake,” explained Snyder to EW, before cryptically adding, “He says what he believes and he says what’s on his mind. If you can unravel the string and decipher what he means, it’s all there.”
Wait, are we sure this Luthor isn’t just Eisenberg playing out his most maniacal fantasies?
Snyder added, “He’s not any of the Lexes that you’ve seen, that’s for sure, other than him being a captain of industry and one person to the world and another person to himself. And bald, of course.”
