Jenny Lewis Reprises Roles in THE GOLDEN GIRLS, TROOP BEVERLY HILLS for ‘She’s Not Me’ Video

Forgive the hyperbole, but is Jenny Lewis the best or the actual best? Following up her last music video for “Just One of the Guys”, featuring Lewis, Anne Hathaway, Brie Larson, and Kristen Stewart in glorious, mustachioed drag, she’s upped the ante with a retrospective of her young acting career for “She’s Not Me.” The new video stars Fred Armisen, Vanessa Bayer, Leo Fitzpatrick, Zosia Mamet, and Feist as characters from The Golden Girls, Troop Beverly Hills, and Wizard… just to name a few.

Not only is the video a playful poke at Lewis’s childhood career (and all the rumors, songs, and interviews that circle around her pre-Rilo Kiley life), it’s one of the best songs off her latest album, The Voyager. We may have had to wait almost a year for a new music video, but considering the talent and shenanigans involved, it was well worth it.

Also, Fred Armisen as Sophia Petrillo and Vanessa Bayer as troop leader Phyllis Nefler is one of those things we didn’t know we needed, but now can’t we simply can’t live without.

Which of Jenny Lewis’ films/music videos is your favorite? What rainbow suit iteration do you  think she’ll rock next? Let us know in the comments below.
