All of us are feverishly anticipating the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story with the fire of a thousand burning Death Stars. Could Rogue One actually be the first ever Star Wars prequel to be universally loved by all, and not be divisive? I mean, all the trailers look awesome…what could possibly go wrong? Well, sometimes with Star Wars, things can indeed go very wrong, and in case anyone doesn’t know what I’m talking about, I have three words for you: Jar-Jar Binks.
Thanks to the folks at Tastefully Offensive, we’ve learned that the most hated character in all of Star Wars lore, that annoying Gungan, has been given the spotlight in a re-imagined trailer for Rogue One called Rogue Binks. The video comes from from Danbury, Connecticut-based video editor Michael Murdock, who previously gave us the Jar-Jar infused parody trailer for Episode VII, The Binks Awakens.
And it’s not just Jar-Jar that is being given the spotlight in this hilarious send-up — almost every other disliked (or outright hated) aspect of Star Wars has somehow managed to make it into this trailer. That means Ewoks as rebel soldiers, and Princess Leia singing her Wookiee Life Day song from the dreaded 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special. And also appearing is a later-years George Lucas, from around the time everyone started blaming him for everything that went wrong in their lives.
There’s another cameo from a more recent Star Wars internet celebrity, but it made me laugh so much I’m not going to ruin it for you. You’re just going to have to watch the video above and see for yourself.

Let’s dish about the for-real Rogue One also!
