It was a good week once again at the Nerdist Podcast Network. It didn’t start out that great for me, since while I was SUPPOSED to be writing the preview post that usually appears here on Sundays, I was instead sitting in a hospital room at UCLA, staring out the window at a beer pong game on the frat house balcony below. What… fun. I would have much rather been listening to this:
Jaime Lannister did the Nerdist Podcast — okay, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who spoke of the new season of Game of Thrones, of course, but also growing up in Denmark, culture shock in America, the international fanbase of GoT, and Matt’s idea for a variety show based on GoT.
Lois Griffin did You Made it Weird with Pete Holmes — okay, Alex Borstein, who you also know from things like HBO’s Getting On and MadTV and being incredibly talented and funny. They talked about eating marrow, her Orthodox dad, Mother Earth and the Cosmic 69, wearing mom’s clothes, getting high on your birthday, pre-natal music, tiny gherkins, disciplining children… lots and lots. Great conversation.
This week’s double-barreled action on The Jonah Keri Podcast delved into football (and soccer) analytics with Jacksonville Jaguars executive Tony Khan and fantasy sports with Rotowire’s Chris Liss.
