When most people see a municipal city bus, they see Craigslist on wheels. When I see a municipal city bus, I see a mobile hostage situation waiting to happen. Blame Speed if you must, but that’s just how my brain works. It also seems to be how director Scott Mann’s brain works because that is precisely what happens in his new film Heist.

The action-thriller follows a father who, in trying to pay for his daughter’s medical bills, partners with a sleazy co-worker to rob a casino. However, when the plan hits a speed bump, they are forced to hijack a city bus. The film boasts an impressive cast including Dave Bautista, Robert De Niro, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Kate Bosworth, Morris Chestnut, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, and Gina Carano. While you’ll have to wait until November 13 to see it in theaters, you can take a sneak peek at what’s coming your way in this exclusive red-band clip that features a tense standoff between one of the hijackers, Cox (Dave Bautista), and law enforcement agent Kris (Gina Carano), who boards the bus to ensure the passengers are okay. What follows, well, let’s jut say it packs a punch.
