It doesn’t look like we’re going to run out of fossil fuels any time soon, and it will be awhile before we really get a handle on climate change. The future might indeed be dire, but will it ever be Mad Max dire?
In the video above, Sally Le Page, an Oxford PhD candidate, evolutionary biologist, and General Electrics’s “Creator in Residence” (in partnership with Fullscreen) takes to the desert to explore some of the science behind the film. To do so, she enlists the help of Bill Nye, Neil deGrasse Tyson, and some GE engineers. While the future may appear bleak, it will probably be brighter than we think, thanks to science.
