Interview: Charles Soule on DAREDEVIL, UNCANNY INHUMANS, and LETTER 44

For the first time ever, an attorney will be writing Daredevil. It may sound like a weird piece of trivia, but it’s one hundred percent true and something far likelier to happen than a genius billionaire playboy philanthropist suddenly writing Iron Man. But Daredevil isn’t the only thing on writer Charles Soule’s ever-expanding plate. In addition to penning the forthcoming Star Wars miniseries comic, Obi-Wan & Anakin, Soule is writing Uncanny Inhumans, Letter 44 for Oni Press, and is essentially managing the entire Inhumans line for Marvel. In other words, he’s very, very busy — a good thing because he happens to be very, very talented. Case in point: his short-lived run on She-Hulk.

Thankfully, Soule was able to take time out of his busy schedule at New York Comic Con to talk with me about his many titles at the House of Ideas. In our expansive conversation, we cover everything from the role of the Inhumans in the Marvel Universe to how his version of Daredevil will be one of the darkest we’ve seen yet. Oh, and we get a little update on the status of the long-gestating Letter 44 TV adaptation too.
