Inked Wednesday #63 – WONDER WOMAN, STAR WARS, and More

Why are there so many awesome tattoos? I don’t have enough available skin or money to get all the ink I want, and I keep seeing new and fantastic ideas. Case-in-point: this ink featuring one of Wonder Woman’s indestructible bracelets. I spotted this beautifully shaded design on baker Michelle Honeman (she owns Sugar Mommas’ Bake Shop in Forest Grove, Oregon and recently made one hell of an impressive cake for Grimm’s 100th episode party). Before seeing the bracelet tattoo in person, I wouldn’t have thought that shades of gray would have worked for the design, but it does. Take a look:

I love the inclusion of the swirls–they add texture.

Visit the rest of the Inked Wednesday gallery below to see tattoos depicting the TARDIS from Doctor Who, C-3PO and R2-D2 from Star Wars, Bane, and more.

Have geeky ink? I’d love to show it off. Inked Wednesday is still chugging along because of reader submissions. I’m consistently amazed at how many of you have tattoos to share. You can get photos to me in a variety of ways: leave a link to images in the comments, tag me on Instagram, or shoot me pictures on Twitter. Let me know your tattoo artist’s name and shop because I like to give credit where it’s due. If you are a tattoo artist, feel free to share your work. I’d be happy to highlight nerdy selections from your portfolio.
